The SRLAX girls lacrosse league will be running a Spring League from Jan 5-Mar 30. And while this could be called a winter league, the season is officially being run as the San Diego Spring Lacrosse offering for MS and Elementary school players in San Diego. The teams will compete in the San Diego MS League which includes teams from Poway, RB, PQ, Carmel Valley, Coronado, Valley Center, Escondido, La Jolla, and other areas of San Diego. Going forward this will be the standard lacrosse season for SRLAX Girls Lacrosse.
Plans are to have 4 Girls teams this Spring - 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th, and an Elite team*. Each team will feature dedicated coaching from knowledgeable and experienced lacrosse enthusiasts - to include former D1 lacrosse players and veteran lacrosse coaches.
*This year we will have an elite team. This team will feature advanced coaching and additional playing opportunities, but will also require firm practice commitments and raised expectations. The team will practice at least 3 times/week and 1 weekend day. These sessions are not optional and players that cannot commit to the season are encouraged to play on the appropriate rec team associated with their grade. Players interested in joining the elite team will be invited to a tryout on Jan 5. There will be a $25 non refundable fee for this tryout. Players that make the elite team will also be required to pay a $25 supplement to cover additional fees associated with the team.
Registration has now closed for the 2010 Spring season.
