Middle School Boys: D3A Game Recaps
2008 Season: 3 - 2
Game 2 - April 5, 2008
Scripps 13
Sweetwater 6
Players and family members of SRLAX witnessed the outcome of the sprinklers as our fields did little to dry up for our mid day match up. At the start of play we watched as the team scrambled for ground balls with the big boys of Sweetwater. After some quick adjustments we were on our way to a well earned 13-6 victory. Jimmy #1 proved that he can lead the defense and regained possession whenever possible. Our solid lines and rotations proved to be too much for the giants of Sweetwater.
The offense took to the field eager to showcase the 2nd play of the season 'Falcon'. Congrats on ball movement and successfully running our one-two combo. Woody #43 rounded up the contest with a double hat trick and Michael #33 our lefty sharp-shooter gained his second hat trick of the season. Lets not forget Steve #32 as he now knows he is a face off specialist. He had two solid fast breaks that resulted in well earned goals. As the season continues I would like to see other individuals set personal and team goals. Thanks to all the parents for helping on the sidelines!
We have a lot to cover to prepare us for more success. This week we will cover full field rides and improve on our 3-3 and triangle clears. All players should arrive at practice wearing their pinnies. Sunday's are a great opportunity to fine tune your skills during our weekly scrimmages. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.
This week's match is on Saturday at 1:30 with San Carlos. All players should arrive at noon for chalk talk and warm ups. See you on the fields.

Game 1 - March 29, 2008
Scripps 10
Tierrasanta 6
Congrats on your first win 10-6 over our first match up against Tierrasanta! What a way to showcase all that we have learned so far. Jimmy #1 did an outstanding job in the cage and regained possession on many opportunities. Our defense played strong in both zone and man defense, way to go! Aaron #47 kept us alive with ground balls while Conner #7 used his uncanny ball control and speed to out-move the other team. Michael #33 and Woody #43 paired up for a well earned set of hat-tricks. We moved the ball around the perimeter and successfully scored two goals on our famous Scripps play. Thanks to all the parents for helping on the sidelines! Be proud of this day, you've earned it. We have a lot to cover to prepare us for more progress. All players should arrive at practice wearing their pinnies. Please email me if you have not yet received one. Anyone who would like to contribute to the web site, please send photos of the games throughout the season to webmaster@srlax.com.
